Open Positions

Thank you for your interest in career opportunities with Riverwater Partners. We currently do not have any open positions.

Internships

Riverwater seeks qualified and motivated interns with a passion for equity research and/or ESG investing. Most of our interns have a background in security analysis/investment management as undergraduate or graduate business school students. Others have had backgrounds in data analytics and marketing. We invite all students interested in learning more about and contributing to our ESG investment practice to apply for an internship at Riverwater. We hire interns on a part-time basis during the school year and full-time during the summer. Our office is located in Milwaukee and interns are encouraged to work in-person collaboratively alongside peers and colleagues, as well as remotely, as needed.

Some of the firms our past interns are currently working at include:

  • Baird Asset Management
  • Generac Power Systems
  • Janus Henderson Investments
  • Jeffries & Company, Inc.
  • JP Morgan
  • Northwestern Mutual
  • Riverwater Partners
  • Ziegler Capital Management

As a small firm, we pride ourselves in providing our interns with comprehensive and practical experience performing research and stock analysis.

STOCK EVALUATION

By participating in regular research meetings, interns learn how the research team approaches and analyzes securities, all while taking into consideration the macro economic environment and relevant industry data.

STOCK PRESENTATION EXPERIENCE

All interns eventually are responsible for stock analysis and presenting their own stock picks to the research team for consideration in the ESG small-cap portfolios.

MANAGEMENT MEETINGS

Interns participate alongside analysts in management meetings including at investment conferences and company site visits. This experience provides interns with the opportunity to learn how to prepare for and engage with company CEO’s, CFO’s and other senior level executives.

ESG RESEARCH

ESG analysis is an important part of our securities research process. Interns learn what factors are important to our analysis and apply these to their own stock analysis and presentations.

[My supervisor] was awesome and put forth a ton of effort to make me feel involved with the research process.

I learned a lot from the whole team and thoroughly enjoyed working at Riverwater Partners!

Interns being able to attend management meetings is awesome. Providing flexible hours for student interns enables them to keep a great study-work balance during the semester.

I really enjoyed my experience with Riverwater. I truly gained a lot of valuable real-world experience.

Just being in the room is invaluable experience as you can find out what long-term investors feel about the company and there might not be people asking about a specific quarter.

We are no longer accepting applications for Summer 2025.
