Adam Peck, CFA
Adam Peck co-founded Riverwater Partners in 2016, following a successful career as a Partner and Portfolio Manager at Heartland Advisors, where he co-managed a multi-billion-dollar small-cap value mutual fund. With a family history of entrepreneurship, Adam understands firsthand the profound impact businesses can have on families and communities. This experience shaped his belief in the power of money to both do well and do good.
Adam is also a contrarian investor. During his tenure at Heartland, where he managed over $3.5 billion in small-cap value assets, he consistently challenged the status quo, uncovering opportunities where others failed to look. This unique approach continues to guide his investment philosophy at Riverwater, where he remains dedicated to responsible investing that delivers both financial returns and positive impact.
He currently serves on the board of the Milwaukee Repertory Theater, Coral Gables Trust Company and the Endowment Committee of the Milwaukee Public Museum. Adam earned a B.S. in International Relations with a focus on Environmental Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. That focus kindled Adam’s interest in socially responsible living and socially responsible investing. He continued his studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he earned an MBA from the Applied Security Analysis Program. Adam is a CFA® charter holder and a member of the CFA Institute since 2004.
