SecureFutures is a non-profit that provides financial literacy programs and resources that
empower students to make sound financial decisions. As President and CEO of Secure Futures, Brenda oversees day-to-day operations as well as program evolution and expansion, board development, and fundraising. Brenda serves as the organization’s spokesperson, and regularly contributes her expertise on financial literacy as a writer and speaker.

Brenda’s background includes extensive experience in program development, management, and evaluation in the areas of financial literacy, education, workforce development, and child welfare. Brenda is also passionate about empowering women as leaders and has served on the boards of Milwaukee Women Inc. and Professional Dimensions. Executive Director, Scale Up Milwaukee

Elmer Moore Jr. is executive director of Scale Up Milwaukee, an initiative of the Greater Milwaukee Committee. Scale Up Milwaukee works to transform the culture of growth in southeastern Wisconsin using an expanding portfolio of programs including two accelerators and a membership platform. Scale Up accelerator companies have created more than 1300 jobs and generate more than $400M in revenue annually.

Elmer founded a VC-backed manufacturing business, Milwaukee Denim Co., is an Instructor of Practice in Entrepreneurship at Marquette University and supports the Lubar Entrepreneurship Center at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

He has traveled extensively speaking, teaching, and consulting on entrepreneurial growth and strategy for mission-based organizations and for-profit companies. He serves on several boards and advisories including Chairman of the board of Commissioners for the Social Development Commission and trustee for his alma mater, Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA. Elmer also has an MBA from Columbia Business School in New York City.

Community Volunteer

Les is an active community volunteer, nonprofit coach, philanthropist, and former business owner/entrepreneur. Since 1994, he has collaborated with more than 100 nonprofit organizations in the greater Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Ft. Lauderdale, Florida areas. Specifically assisting them with friend-raising/fundraising training, board solicitation training, marketing, and the business operations of nonprofits. Les encourages board members, volunteers, and senior staff to work together in partnership.

He has worked with nonprofits in all sectors, including social service, health, education, arts, and the environment, and co-chaired numerous Capital Campaigns. Among the awards recognizing his service: the Honorary Alumni Award from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, Todd Wehr Volunteer Award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the W.I.S.H. Award from the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Friend of The Hispanic Community Award from the United Community Center, the St. Francis Children’s Center Community Service Award and the Human Relations Award from the National Conference on Community and Justice.

Beth Wnuk, Advisory Board member at Riverwater Partners



Beth Wnuk is an accomplished financial services executive with over 25 years of experience in various executive leadership roles. She served as Regional President for PNC Bank in Wisconsin providing leadership for the region’s sales and service efforts, with direct oversight for all business lines, market revenue and strategic growth initiatives. She has held other executive positions with its predecessor, National City Bank, including Executive Vice President of Global Strategic Sourcing, responsible for working with a strategic partner to build and implement an off-shore operations center in Southeast Asia; and as Senior Vice President, managing their $13 billion Consumer Lending Product Division. Ms. Wnuk has held other various leadership positions in Retail Banking with U.S. Bank, Comerica Bank and M&T Bank; with experience in P&L management, acquisition strategy, product management and marketing. Ms. Wnuk most recently served as an outside director of Ixonia Bank from 2013 until 2018 and was the Chief Administrative Officer and Interim Chief Financial Officer at Mount Mary University.


Ms. Wnuk graduated from the University of New York at Buffalo and earned her MBA from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.
